How do you apply and when is it this year? Dont fret about it. Read up on all your favorite colleges in the months of Feb-April and get up to speed on what each college does.

Just a reminder, MOSAIC admits arent the only students of color thatll be admitted in a year. We want every customer to have an amazing Mosaic experience. )

,

So basically, getting the MOSAIC invite is nice, but its not as awesome as other diversity admit programs that some other colleges have. Some of them will accept Vandy without going to MOSAICothers will make alternative plans for college. Apply to colleges less selective than Vandy and to financial safeties. Choose your meal plan and skip or cancel any time with no penalties. Yes, Asian-Americans are considered URMs at Vanderbilt technically. This has made Vanderbilt viable for thousands of families thus the onslaught of applicants. I am currently a junior in High School.

How do you get an invite? I tried them on a whim but have continued to order again and again it's hard to argue with the taste and convenience. The Mosaic Foods Market is officially open! Visit us at 607 Vanderbilt Ave in Brooklyn.

@tguan916 One thing that has changed is that Vanderbilt is on the short list of colleges with no loans in their packages. But for the Asians and white kids that got MOSAIC invites, it might have to do with the activities they do that contribute to diversity or such. Each college has its own traditions. As a busy surgeon who doesn't cook, I need quick and easy prepared meals. I looked on the internet for an explanation of this and found an article entitled Diversity of thought should trump racial-ethnic approach. Its a human resources piece that advocates hiring people who think differently rather than hiring by race. Just apply to Vanderbilt and if one comes, it comes, and if it doesnt, it does not mean rejection. They only send out like 300 or so and they definitely accept a LOT more than 300 students into the school. Would you be qualified for this program?

,

@tguan916 Far better than any frozen food I've had before. Can someone explain to me Vandy's MOSAIC program? Heres the article:

,

@neonpinklime I honestly have no idea what exactly diversity in thought is, but Ive seen it mentioned as a reason for inviting otherwise non-diverse (aka Southern white kids) to MOSAIC. Just add liquid, blend, and go. Im really impressed with their meals and am a regular customer! There is literally nothing you can do at this point to get a MOSAIC invite so much of it is an inherent factor. (And thus, Im here, at home, doing homework instead of flying to Nashville. During Covid we discovered these delicious meals. Easy vegetarian meals (~5 minutes in the microwave) and really fresh tasting. Seconding what matrixsurgeon says, Asian Americans do definitely get invited to MOSAIC.

,

Many colleges have some kind of recruitment effort for students who bring diversity to campus. )

,

@nhdmaniac I get diverse in geography, but what does it mean to be diverse in thought? You dont apply for it, they offer it to you. Vanderbilt just invites ~300 students, many from underrepresented locations or from underrepresented ethnic backgrounds. In some cases, the same student may get multiple invites from diff colleges for such efforts or for scholarship interviews. Mosaic has provided an easy way for my family to eat healthy and tasty food. We have thoroughly enjoyed our bimonthly deliveries of high quality vegetarian meals. Of course when one assembles a team they do so with the understanding that they want different points of view. Very interested in Vanderbilt :)

MOSAIC is a minority recruitment program. I am an Asian and received a MOSAIC invite (which comes with an early acceptance).

Hi everyone! We're curbing food waste by creating meals that will last in your freezer, and tackling hunger by rescuing and distributing fresh produce with every meal sold. Our meals are hand-made with care, packed with natural, mindfully-sourced ingredients, and delivered sustainably. LOVE Mosaic!! Plant-powered food to fuel your life. Ive tried a few meal delivery services and can say that Mosaic Foods is my favorite. I've tried at least 7-8 meal delivery plans. Basically Vandy wants to increase its diversity so they give a three-day trip to minorities who are extremely qualified.

This years MOSAIC program is March 13-15. Im currently a junior and interested in applying!

@berumotto No one applies for an invite, no one knows exactly how to get it. Delivered and ready in 5 minutes no shopping, prep, or cleanup. In other cases, hundreds of students who bring academic merit and diversity to Vandy will not get a MOSAIC invite but will be admitted. Either way, not getting one does not mean anything at all! ~300 are given the choice every year, and ~200 attend. All vegan, no added sugars. Chef-crafted food made with whole fruits & veggies and delivered to you. Plus Mosaic keeps coming out with new delicious options. As a consummate carnivore I was blown away by how good these meals are. So if you are a minority (especially an Asian, I feel, as well, read one of those Race in Admissions threads are youll get the gist), dont be down if you dont get an invite. So do some white kids, who admissions marks down as diverse for some reason or another (likely diverse in thought or in geography). clients return Do your absolute best in testing and seek the best letters of reference you can muster. With 30 thousand applicants, the MOSAIC invitations are probably done in committee. I love having a delicious, healthy option at my fingertips. Activities that might include volunteering and other commitments that show that diversity is important? I would easily say that the majority of the kids are diverse in the literal terms, meaning that they are URMs and minorities. We can't wait to see you! (Shout out to Bowdoin for having something similar to MOSAIC that pays for airfare and everything else, without considering financial need. If you don't love your meals, we'll issue a full refund, no questions asked. Select from tons of plant-based, chef-cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Comparing that to a racial-ethnic approach with an eye toward replacing it is new to me. Zero-step prep with no chopping, cooking, or cleanup. Lets say youre an Asian American. Were on a mission to make plant-centric, wholesome food accessible to everyone. Just a guess but noone really knows how Vandy decides who gets MOSAIC and who does not. Store in your freezer. What Im guessing is that theyre unique in some way or another, but it cant be as easily attributed as in race or geography.

,

I guess it all depends on what Vanderbilts objective of MOSAIC is. Good luck.

Finally, our flavorful and healthy smoothiesare here! Fast frozen shipping in 100% recyclable packaging. So we have a simple policy: if you don't like your food, we'll give you a refund, no questions asked. This is head and shoulders above the rest, and I'm not even a vegetarian! A good number of MOSAIC invites cannot even manage to attend due to conflicts etc. The easily recyclable packaging is another big plus. calacatta honed statuary We're flexible! Gluck when you apply :)
