Contrary to popular belief, Rome is an excellent skirmish faction, its praetorian cavalry is powerful, fast and has high stamina, cavalry auxilia are excellent light cav, archer auxilia and regular archers allow it to compete with Macedon and Greece in the archer war, and its peasants at only 100 denarii apiece make great fodder.
